8th November 2016 – Meeting with Secondary Schools’ Social Studies Coordinators.
WWW: KKG met with all the social studies college coordinators at secondary schools at our office, where we gave them educational resources and some MFF! printed postcards. This was a preliminary meeting organized by their head with KKG as to initiate further educational activities with them on Fair Trade and tropical fruit in their schools. Subject Coordinators are the teachers responsible for the subject in colleges (a few state schools each).
Why was this relevant: This was relevant because it provided KKG to meet with all the coordinators who would like to work with KKG in their schools and establish contacts, making follow-up easier. Since then, one of the coordinators has already spoken with Marthese about doing a school activity.
Immediate results: The teachers have MFF! materials they can use and a personal contact with KKG so they do not have to go through their head of school each time.
Can you share any new practices or challenges with others?: Networking is very important as it establishes a relationship, making it easier to set up activities and for follow up.
