Between the 22nd and 24th October 2017, KKĠ participated in the final project meeting in Krakow relating to the MFF! project.
The final meeting focused mainly on Introduction on Evaluation session, Collecting outcomes of Campaigning activities, Presenting + discussing outcomes of Campaigning activities and focus on possible future actions.
Some of the noteble results achieved by project partners presented during the meeting included:
GUATEMALA
ASTAC resolution from the Encounter of Banana Workers in Ecuador in begining of October 2017. In brief, workers wants:
1) Support the regionalization process of workers’ trade;
2) Precautionary measures to protect ASTAC’s trade union members;
3) Comprehensive assessment of the impact caused by the banana plantations in Ecuador;
4) Suspend air fumigation with Mancozeb;
5) compliance of protection laws, as well as of the necessary and existing regulations that prohibit fumigation;

Koperattiva Kummerċ Ġust shall be participating in the AgroKatina of Friends of the Earth Malta, which held a launch and round table discussion of the Agro Katina report that will be held on Thursday the 12th of October between 10am and 1pm. During this meeting organisers will engage participants present the results of our research into the local vegetable and fruit supply chain, seasonal produce, and the importance of agriculture in Malta. Your presence as one of the key stakeholders is important.
Koperattiva Kummerċ Ġust participated in the 2017 SusyMarket Day which took place at the St. Angelo Fort in l-Birgu between 10am and 5pm.
