Koperattiva Kummerċ Ġust invites all journalists in Malta to a trip visit in Ghana to learn about the working conditions of tropical fruit workers. This visit is being funded through the EU project Make Fruit Fair! Deadline for applications is end of July 2016. Email us on info@l-arka.org for more information.
Who?
During the kick-off meeting for the 'Make Fruit Fair' project held in March in Berlin, Marthese Formosa and John Axiak from Koperattiva Kummerċ Ġust met three labour unionists from Latin America and the Caribbean to discuss labour rights situations and environmental issues in tropical fruit farming.
As part of the Make Fruit Fair Campaign we working hard to pressure Lidl to sell Fair Trade fruit and promote good working conditions for its suppliers!
We need your help in this campaign and I’m writing to encourage you to promote the actions with your friends. The online action will be from Thursday 18th of May until Sunday 21st May and we strongly encourage you to participate.
